Most fences go up in 8-foot sections. The crew runs 16-foot rails, so one rail carries three posts instead of hanging between two.
The standard build. Every rail stops at a post, so a 32-foot run is four separate sections with a joint at every post in between.
How Shatkoff builds it. One 16-foot rail carries three posts, so the same 32-foot run is two sections and the posts are tied to each other.
